
Microsoft will bundle its Sales, Service, and Finance Copilots into Microsoft 365 Copilot starting in October, meaning those agent capabilities will be available from the Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Store at no extra charge. Previously Microsoft charged $30 per user/month for business Copilot access and an additional $20 per user/month for the Sales/Service/Finance Copilots; the change brings most of Microsoft’s top Copilot tools down to $30 per user/month instead of $50 for customers who had been buying both sets together.
Internally Microsoft frames the move as a simplification of Copilot subscriptions as it expands AI agents in Microsoft 365. The company is also developing “Agent 365,” a set of tools (expected to be discussed at Microsoft Ignite) to manage AI agents and help meet enterprise security and compliance requirements. Separately, reporting indicates Microsoft will partly power Microsoft 365 Copilot with Anthropic models after finding some of those models outperformed OpenAI on tasks in Excel and PowerPoint; Microsoft is said to be buying access to Anthropic models via AWS. The report frames the shift as an admission that OpenAI’s GPT-5 has underwhelmed in some areas compared to Claude Sonnet 4 features.
