DOE Launches Genesis Mission to Apply AI

The U.S. Department of Energy has convened a large public-private effort called the Genesis Mission to accelerate scientific research with AI. The initiative brings 24 tech partners — including OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Nvidia, xAI, Microsoft, Palantir, AMD, Oracle, Cerebras, and CoreWeave — together with 17 national labs and roughly 40,000 government researchers.
