Anthropic has launched “Anthropic Interviewer,” a Claude-powered qualitative research tool that plans questions, runs 10–15 minute conversations with respondents, and clusters themes for human analysts. The company used the tool to interview 1,250 professionals about how they’re using AI at work and published the transcripts publicly.

The initial findings show mixed sentiment: 86% of respondents said AI saves them time, yet 69% reported social stigma around using AI and 55% expressed concern about their future. The report highlights sector differences — creatives often hide AI use and worry about job loss, while scientists want AI as research partners but don’t fully trust models yet.

Anthropic says the Interviewer handles the full research pipeline and will run ongoing studies to track how human–AI relationships evolve. The newsletter emphasizes why this matters: scaled, open‑ended interviews (vs. dashboards or forms) can surface how people actually feel about AI, revealing social and career anxieties alongside productivity gains.
