A lot of business owners feel like technology is moving too fast. You keep hearing words like machine learning or neural networks and it sounds complicated, almost like you need a degree to understand it. The truth is, the basics are much simpler than they sound. Once you know them, you’ll see how they can actually help your business.

👉 Machine learning is just a computer learning from experience. Instead of you writing rules for every situation, it looks at your sales history, customer emails or website activity and finds patterns on its own.

🧠 Neural networks work like a simplified version of a brain. They connect together and learn to spot clues in your data. One might notice the word “amazing” in a review, another “disappointed.” After enough examples, they get good at telling if a review is positive or negative.

📈 Deep learning is just a bigger, more powerful version. It can handle complex things like understanding the meaning of a long email, picking your product out of a photo online, or spotting frustration in a customer call.

💬 Large language models (LLMs) are built on deep learning but focus on language. They have read massive amounts of text, which means they can write, summarise, brainstorm ideas, or even act like a digital assistant. This is the technology that powers tools like ChatGPT.

📚 Parameters are a way of measuring how much a model knows. A small one is like someone who has read a few books. The largest ones today are more like someone who has read an entire library.

Once you understand these ideas, the confusing terms start to make sense. More importantly, you can see how this technology can help you save time, make better decisions, and run your business more effectively.
